In order to preserve the artistic and
historic nature of the UA mall, but still allow us
to place the ILC in the academic heart of the University,
the building was located underneath the mall.
Access is by two central stairways and
two public elevators.
As with the courtyard, students have
made the area above the ILC their home as indicated
by the photos on the left.
