What are the limits on printing?                
Students can only print in the Information Commons using Pharos. Instructors can print in the OSCR Underground.

Printing resources in the ILC?
Black laser, color laser or color InXSet (MP) printers are available in the Information Commons for students. Black & White and Color laser printers are available in the OSCR Underground for instructors.

How to print?
Instructors need to use their instructor account and can print to the printers in the OSCR Underground from any computer in the classrooms or the Underground.

How to access my files from outside the ILC?
You can access your files using Secure Shell (SSH) client software.  The SSH client software is available free for individuals associated with the University of Arizona (faculty, staff and students).  You can download the SSH client software from here

There are instructions on how to install and use the SSH client software on the website where you download the client software (http://sitelicense.arizona.edu/).  Instructors, use your ILC instructor account username and password to connect to the ILC file server (SSH Host), files.ilc.arizona.edu.  You will be automatically connected to your ILC home drive.  You can then use the SSH client software to drag-n-drop files from your computer to the ILC file server.

What should I do If I forgot the password to my ILC Instructor account?
Contact ILC Help via email, ilchelp@email.arizona.edu.  If you need immediate assistance with your ILC instructor account please call the OSCR Underground front desk at 621-OSCR (6727) or come in to ILC room 136.

What should I do if the computer was locked out?
Press Ctrl + Alt + Del then login using your own account information.

Note - Any unsaved materials will be lost when you unlock a locked computer.

How can students access files?
Students can access ILC class files, using the SSH client software.  There is a icon on the desktop computers in the Information Commons for the SSH client software.  Students can also access ILC class files from their own computer using the SSH client software.  The SSH client software can be downloaded for free from, http://sitelicense.arizona.edu/.

Students, use the ILC student account username and password given to you by your instructor.  Students connect to the same SSH Host, files.ilc.arizona.edu.  Once connected you will be automatically connected to your ILC home drive.  You can then use the SSH client software to drag-n-drop files from your computer to the ILC file server.

ILC laptops?
There are four laptop carts available for instructors to check-out for classes.  Three carts are Windows, Pentium computers (15 laptops per cart).  To reserve a laptop cart for your class you must contact UTC's Equipment Services at 621-3852, or http://www.uaav.arizona.edu.  Instructor training is required prior to reserving a laptop cart.  Please contact UTC's Equipment Services to arraign for laptop training.

Can I use my own laptop in the ILC?
Instructors can use their own laptops in the classrooms.  For the wired network the laptoip hardware address must be registered for the University network
. For wireless access your laptop must be setup to access either UAWifi or UAPublic. For more information and instructions on connecting to the wireless network: http://www.oscr.arizona.edu/computer_help/wireless

What are the phones, in the ILC classrooms, for?
They are there so you can call UTC's Equipment Services should you have any problems with the technology in the classrooms.  UTC's Equipment Services can be reached at 621-3852.

You can also use the phone connection in the classrooms with a special phone for calling guest speakers or joining a conference call.  This special phone can be connected to the classrooms' speaker system.  Please contact UTC's Equipment Services to reserve the special phone.  Note:  The phones in the classrooms are configured to dial local calls only.  If you want to make a long distance call you will need a long distance code from your department.
