Each
classroom in the ILC is equipped with same basic equipment,
however the layout may vary slightly. For example, in some
classrooms there are four video projectors, in some three,
and in some two. To check the exact configuration, please
visit the Features and Floor plans
section of this webpage. Below is a general list
of the equipment in each ILC classroom.
- A
1.5 GHz Pentium 4 PC with 512 Mb RAM, CD/DVD, Zip, and
3.5 inch floppy drives and Internet access.
- Connection
capability for a laptop at the teaching station, with
100 Mb Internet access,
- Docking
station for a Macintosh Titanium Laptop,
- Multiple
high quality video projection units (VPUs): 3 in each
of the 2 auditoriums and 2 large classrooms (1 for a large
central image, 2 mounted side by side for simultaneous
display of 2 images), 4 in the 4 mid-sized classrooms
and 2 in the smaller rooms (for simultaneous display),
- Electronic
white board to enable large screen display of material
that is handwritten during class,
- Document
camera (an Elmo presenter) for large screen display of
three-dimensional and printed objects,
-
Video (VHS, CD, DVD),
- Surround-sound,
room audio, and speech reinforcement,
- Microphones
available upon request
We can
also provide digital slide projectors for 3x5 slide projection
with the following limitations: 1) since the slide is digitized
in the projector "on the fly" the quality may
not be as good as a digitized slide stored on a disk and
2) the projectors crop the top and bottom 1/8 of the slide
if projected in vertical mode.
