As you view these images of the ILC courtyard, classrooms, University School offices, Meeting Place, Digital Media Resource Center, Information Commons, and Multimedia Zone it is important to remember that the entire 118,000 square feet of the facility is underground.

All of the classrooms in the ILC come equipped with a touch panel controller, a desktop whiteboard, computer, with DVD, zip drive and CD burner, SVHS VCR, DVD player, microphones, assisted listening devices, and connection for an instructor laptop (Mac or PC). The equipment is located in a movable teaching station that is adjustable by height to accommodate wheel chair access.

Each room has two, three, or four 1024x768 LCD projectors depending on the room's size.

Each room also has a telephone to allow the instructor to call for technical assistance. Phone conferencing hardware is also available for an in-class voice conference.

The four large classrooms (120, 130, 140, and 150) are equipped with surround sound systems and have concert hall style acoustics.

In addition to the equipment listed above, four laptop carts with 15 PCs are available for checkout. We also have a 300 student responder system that interfaces with PowerPoint for interactive presentations.

The University School for Transitional, Interdisciplinary, and Undecided Students is the academic home for "undecided" or "exploratory" students at the University of Arizona. University School provides academic advising services as well as help and resources for students exploring majors.

The Meeting Place provides a space where students and instructors can meet to prepare for or discuss the day's class.  Staff from the University Teaching Center is available to help you make instructional decisions regarding the use of technology.

The Digital Media Resource Center provides access to staff and facilities that support the creation of multimedia learning objects for instruction.

The Information Commons provides access to over 250 general use computers.

The Multimedia Zone, located in the Information Commons, provides students with access to eight high-end multimedia systems.
